The Master’s Away Weekend – Exeter 17-19 October

Friday - 17th October

• Arrive in Exeter (pm)

• 5.30-6.15pm Evensong at Exeter Cathedral

• 6.30pm Reception in Chapter House with Tabitha Aldridge-Smith, Comms Director, Met Office

• 7.30pm Dinner at The Holt

Saturday 18th October

• 10.30am Tour of Exeter Cathedral 

• 12.30pm Lunch in Chapter House

• 2.15pm Tour of Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery

• Free time after the tour 

• 7.00pm Reception before dinner at Hotel du Vin, Magdalen St, Exeter, EX2 4HY

• 7.30pm Dinner at Hotel du Vin - Guest Speaker, the Lord Mayor of Exeter

Sunday 19th October

• 10.00am Communion service in Cathedral

• 11.45am Trafalgar Day service in Cathedral 

The cost to cover the weekend is £100, which covers the entrance to the Museum, receptions and the Saturday dinner. Accommodation and travel are at your own expense.

In terms of accommodation, the City Gate Hotel is the hotel we are trying to encourage members to stay at for the weekend. Please make your booking directly.  

In terms of travel, Court Assistant Andrew McConnell has kindly held a booking of 11 seats on the Great Western Pullman dining service for their 13.03 departure from Paddington to Exeter, arriving just after 15.00hrs on Friday 17th October.

It’s £46 for a three-course meal on the train, to be paid on board. To be eligible, travellers must have a first-class ticket, which at present sits at £80 one way.
