The Worshipful Company of Communicators Second Annual Careers Fair

Following a successful inaugural event last year, the Worshipful Company of Communicators is holding its second annual Careers Fair on Wednesday 25th November - and we need your help.
Held in partnership with the Taylor Bennett Foundation, the Careers Fair, taking place at Westminster Cathedral Hall, offers a unique opportunity for the Worshipful Company of Communicators’ community to step up and transform young lives, by engaging and supporting people aged 18-24 from underrepresented and diverse backgrounds to help them to navigate career pathways in PR and communications.
Last year's inaugural fair brought together 90+ young people with 4 panellists, 3 career circles and 8 one-to-one mentors from across the sector.
The PRCA and CIPR have already pledged support and are working to attract volunteers and raise awareness of the event across their membership.
John Harrington, editor of PR Week, is also confirmed as a guest speaker.
This year we want to go further to make this event a success and make a real impact on young people’s lives, and I am writing to ask for your help in two ways.
Funding – The fair simply cannot happen without the generous backing of supporters. If your organisation is able to sponsor or become a partner this year, your support will directly fund the room, resources and refreshments that make this event possible - and will put your brand behind real access to our profession. Please find attached the Sponsor Pack, with two options to get involved, a £500 and £1,000 package.
Volunteers – We are looking for volunteers to give an hour or so of their time on the day itself, whether taking part in speed networking with the cohort or helping to run one of our break-out career circle sessions. These sessions were among the most popular parts of last year's fair, with queues forming outside the room for one-to-one mentoring. More on this is included in the ‘Get Involved Guide’ attached.
