The Company of Communicators formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant on Wednesday 3rd July aboard HQS Wellington on the Thames. The Master, Sally Sykes, signed the document along with Commodore Andy Ashfield-Smith, the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Defence Communication. They were joined by the Clerk and Wardens along with our Sea Cadet affiliated unit from Sunbury and Walton-on-Thames.
The Company's Court agreed to sign the Covenant back in January promising to promote the Armed Forces in its activities, spread best practice, training and employment opportunities for service members and veterans, developing and deepening military affiliations and promoting Armed Forces Week and other major civic events. The Master said "This demonstrates the Company's long-term commitment to supporting and building upon our Military affiliations and the importance of Communications in modern defence operations."
