In line with other Livery Companies when a Freeman becomes a Liveryman, the candidate is said to be 'enclothed': a livery gown is placed on them at the Court ceremony. This is the first such ceremony the Company is holding for the wider membership. A truly first and historical event in the Company's history. The ceremony will commence at 6.30pm in Ironmongers' Hall and will be followed by a hot buffet with fine wines and other refreshments. Please come along with family, friends and work colleagues to witness this historic event. The Ironmongers Company is one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies and it was incorporated under a Royal Charter in 1463. The ceremony will allow you to visit Ironmongers Hall one of the most splendid of Livery Halls. The third Ironmongers' Hall in Fenchurch Street was the only Livery Hall to be destroyed during the First World War on 7…
