I started writing during service with the Royal Air Force (1997-2002) and am now a freelance historian and writer with over 21 years of experience. As the owner of McClelland & Chase Communications Bureau, a family-run business in rural Nottinghamshire, my team and I offer clients various bespoke visual and written communication solutions, from delightful watercolour fabric designs to well-researched high-word count content writing. There's little we can't do. Clients include Help for Heroes, Time PLC and Pen & Sword Books, and select private clients who seek high-quality communications solutions that are as individual as they are. 

As an author, I have written numerous feature articles on art, military, aviation, social and rural themes, with titles commissioned and published by Pen & Sword Books, focusing on military history, transport and aviation subjects. More titles are due to be published in the near future.
