We have at short notice an opportunity to run a Whisky Tasting Tuesday next week 16th November, starting 18.30.
We are fortunate once again to have Alistair Carmichael – MP for Orkney & Shetland – as our guide. For those that participated last year you will recall his enthusiasm and knowledge for the subject were highly informative and entertaining!
Thanks to Pool Reinsurance, we are able to host this in person at their office at Monument. This will enable an even greater percentage of our £40 fee for the event to boost our charitable funds.
If you wish to secure a ticket please email the Clerk on email@example.com with an expression of interest ASAP. We would like a minimum of 14 participants. But numbers after that are strictly limited to 20.
If we are inundated with responses, we will look at sourcing a larger amount of whisky to taste, so our selection may change. At the moment the plan is to focus on ‘island’ whiskies covering 30 -50ml each of:
Raasay – Second bottling (Raasay)
Ardbeg – Corryvreckan (Islay)
Scapa – Glansa (Orkney)
Abhainn Dearg – Ten (Lewis)
Starway – Tawny port (Australia)
