Why did you join the Company of Communicators?

The Company not only brings gravitas to the profession, but it helps to position communications as a key industry in the City of London and acknowledges its growing importance.

With a Code of Conduct the Company works with our other industry bodies to continue to raise standards as well as awareness.

What benefits have you derived from joining?

As with any member organisation, the more you contribute, the more you get out of it. For me it’s about my network – broadening and enriching it, meeting communicators from a variety of backgrounds and supporting each other as well as our industry.

What are the main challenges you are experiencing in communications today?

Recruitment. Finding the right people with values, integrity, experience and a curious mind is becoming increasingly challenging as the industry recovers post Covid. Many are understandably nervous of moving during a pandemic which is pushing the price of people up as demand outstrips supply.
