Why did you join the Company of Communicators?
Tracey Paul: Because of the tremendous opportunity it offered to meet and network with fellow communicators. I am also studying to be a City of London Green Badge Guide and the historic role of the Livery Companies in the City is so fascinating that I could not miss the opportunity to join one. It’s a real honour.
What benefits have you derived from joining?
Tracey Paul: (Apart from a beautiful certificate and badge) have been getting to know lots of wonderful people who have seen and experienced so much in their lives, as well as knowing that we have a way to give back to the community that we are part of.
What are the main challenges you are experiencing in communications today?
Tracey Paul: I would say it is that facts are not as important as they should be! It we are living in a world where fake news and individual opinion, however I’ll informed and subjective can find a platform as easily as statistical and research-based knowledge. While there are many different ways to add colour and insight to a story facts and truthful testimony should win out!
