Peter Walker, Finance Director and Trustee at Livery Schools Link Ltd, and Director of The Inspirationelle Foundation, was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations at the House of Lords on Friday.
Honorary Fellowships are granted in recognition of exceptionally outstanding services to the Institute and/or the development of the public relations profession.
Peter was President of the then Institute of Public Relations (IPR) in 1998, its Golden Jubilee year, and saw through its commitment to the formation of City of London Guild of Public Relations Practitioners, subsequently serving as Chairman of its charity for five years and then as Treasurer of the Livery Schools Link.
As Group Public Affairs Manager of the industrial gases group, BOC International (British Oxygen), he was part of the development of the Industry and Parliament Trust and non-financial reporting standards for its operating companies worldwide.
Peter is also a senior partner at Pielle Consulting Group and Life Vice President of the
Nigeria British Chamber of Commerce.
