‘The City Has Noticed’

The Lord Mayor gave high praise to the work of the Company of Communicators last night.

Speaking at the Company’s summer reception the Lord Mayor Alderman Nicholas Lyons said the Communicators were leading the way with diversity and inclusion within the livery movement.

He also commended the ‘astonishing’ growth of the Company during the pandemic and gave thanks for its work in the City, including contributing to the Coronation screen. “The City has noticed your work,” he said.

The Company’s sponsoring Alderman Michael Mainelli also told guests that he was fully behind the drive to make the Communicators the 112th worshipful company. Alderman Alison Gowman was also among the guests in the courtyard of Apothecaries Hall, the oldest livery hall in the City.

Over £3,500 was raised by members at the auction, with all funds going to the Company’s charitable trust. This means we are now just £30,000 short of the £300,000 target to enable us to achieve worshipful status.
