Over 500 youngsters visited the Company of Communicators stand at the Livery Schools Link Showcase at the Guildhall in June.
Children aged eight to 14 were asked if are they creative, enjoy asking questions, and listening to people – the characteristics at the heart of our profession.
The London Careers Festival event to connect pupils to the world of featured stands from 30 livery companies.
“I had a thoroughly enjoyable morning “very exhilarating to be able to engage with a younger generation on the possibilities of a career in communications. Sign me up for next year!” said Harry McAdoo from our volunteer team, which also included Joanna Bleasdale, Pamela Mounter, Ranjit Blythe, Bob Roberts and Susan Walker.
The posters were provided by Chris Evans of Sherry Design. A video showing real communication in action was provided by Sean Curtin-Ward of The Goodwork Organisation with give-away highlighters for visitors sponsored by four members.
