About the Event
Dr Simon Elliott is kindly offering a third and final presentation on Roman London on the 16th July at 8pm.
He will narrate a day in the life of a wide variety of Roman Londoners in the mid 2nd century AD when the city was at its height during the Roman occupation. He will lift the lid on every aspect of day-to-day living in the city during the Roman period, from every perspective in society, showing how some things were very similar to our experiences today, but other things were very different. Specific subjects will include health, religion, education, the law, different levels of society, food and drink, transport and entertainment.
Should you be interested, the Clerk will send you an email invite for zoom and a copy of the Powerpoint deck Dr Elliott uses in his Roman London talks through we transfer. At the appointed hour, you will need to click the email link to join providing you have zoom downloaded and open the powerpoint (it will be zoom audio not video) . Questions can then be emailed directly to Simon following the presentation.
